He also held the title of Professor and was recognized as a Distinguished Scientist of Georgia in 1961. Furthermore, Dvali served as the Vice-President of the Georgian Academy of Sciences from 1958 to 1972 and was a prominent member of the editorial board of the National Soviet Encyclopedia.
