He was a member of the Juventud Universitaria Peronista and Montoneros, two political and militant groups. García was a victim of the last civic-military dictatorship in Argentina, being murdered on December 15, 1976, a day before his 30th birthday. His life and activism were connected to the turbulent political climate in Argentina during that time.
