Raūshan Sätbaeva was a prominent Kazakh oncologist and a Doctor of Medical Sciences. Born on December 16, 1916, in Pavlodar, she graduated from Tashkent Medical Institute in 1940. Sätbaeva worked at Almaty City Polyclinic No. 2 and later served in the surgical department at Almaty Medical Institute. From 1963, she became a senior research fellow at the Oncology and Radiology Institute, eventually heading the general oncology department. She authored 57 scientific works, focusing on surgical issues in oncology and the peculiarities of carcinoma.
