Dr. Ravindra Nanda, born on February 19, 1943, is a professor and chair of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. A member of the dental school's founding faculty, he has been with the University of Connecticut since 1972 and has also served as the chair of the graduate program in Orthodontics. He is an innovator of various orthodontic devices and his research focuses on orthodontics for adolescents and adults, tooth kinetics, craniofacial surgery, biomechanics, and effective mechanics for orthodontic care.
