Ravindra Pinge (1926–2008) was a notable Marathi writer with roots in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Raised in Mumbai, his literature often reflected his affection for his native land. Before retiring as an official at All India Radio, he traveled extensively throughout India, documenting his experiences in writings. Pinge, influenced by his parents' teaching profession, maintained an interest in education and was loosely associated with the Socialist Party in his youth. He had two children, a son and a daughter, and passed away due to cancer in 2008.
