Rawan Idris Barzani, born on February 17, 1981, is the son of Kurdish leader Idris Barzani and the brother of current President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani. He serves as the commander of the first brigade of the special forces in the Kurdistan Region. Rawan played a significant role in confronting and defeating the terrorist group ISIS since 2014 and oversees a strategic route extending over 100 kilometers from the Mousl border to Shingal, supporting and aiding those in need.
