Rawand Dilsher Taher (May 26, 1987 - December 7, 2015) was a Danish-Kurdish terrorist, notably one of the highest-ranking Danish citizens in the Islamic State organization. He fled with his family from Iraq to Denmark when he was one year old. Taher grew up in Nørrebro, graduated in 2006, and later studied engineering. In 2015, he declared his allegiance to ISIS and became involved in its security services. He was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Raqqa, Syria, which targeted him specifically due to his significant role in the organization.
