Raymond Douglas 'Ray' Barber, born on February 28, 1959, is an Australian former politician associated with the Labor Party. He served in the Queensland Legislative Assembly after being elected in 1989 for the Cooroora seat. Barber, a lawyer by profession, was involved in various community services as well as the local surfing community. After his political career, he contested elections but faced defeats, including an unsuccessful bid in 2012 for Maroochydore. He married reporter Nikki Parkinson in 1993, but they divorced in 2003.
