Raymond Battle was an American baseball third baseman who played in the Negro leagues during the 1940s. Born on March 17, 1918, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he made his professional debut with the Homestead Grays in 1944, the year they won the Negro World Series championship. He continued to play for the Grays until 1945, marking his last season in the league. Battle passed away on March 1, 1973, in his hometown at the age of 54.
