Ray Phiri (1947–2017) was a South African singer, jazz, and mbaqanga musician. He founded the group Cannibals in the 1970s and later started Stimela, known for albums like 'Fire, Passion and Ecstasy' (1991) and 'Look, Listen and Decide' (1992), as well as the controversial album 'People Don't Talk So Let's Talk.' Additionally, Phiri was a guitarist for Paul Simon's 'Graceland.'
