Ray Vandeveer (1953–2024) was a Minnesota politician serving as a Republican member of the Minnesota Senate for District 52. He was elected to the Senate in 2006 after serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 1998. Vandeveer chaired the Senate Local Government and Elections Committee and worked on issues related to taxes, education, transportation, and crime prevention. A Columbia Heights High School graduate, he earned a B.S. in marketing from St. Cloud State University. Vandeveer was also a real estate appraiser and held various community positions prior to his political career.
