Rebeca Monroy Nasr is a Mexican writer and researcher born on December 24, 1958, in Mexico City. She earned a degree in visual arts and a PhD in art history from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In 2008, she founded the La Mirada Documental seminar at the Mora Institute, where she co-coordinates activities. Her contributions to photography education, research, and dissemination have been recognized with several awards, including the Clementina Díaz y de Ovando Award in 2019 and the Biblos Award for Merit in 2017.
