Rebecca Clare Fitzgerald is a British medical researcher, born in September 1968, who specializes in cancer evolution with a focus on oesophageal cancer. As a Professor of Cancer Prevention and founding Director of the Early Cancer Institute at the University of Cambridge, she leads initiatives in cancer early detection. Fitzgerald also serves as a Fellow and Director of Medical Studies at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is an Honorary Consultant in Gastroenterology and Cancer Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital. She is involved in several notable cancer research programs.
