Redmond A. Simonsen was an influential American graphic artist and game designer, recognized for his work at Simulations Publications, Inc. (SPI) during the 1970s and early 1980s. He is credited with creating the term 'game designer' and made significant contributions to game information graphics. As art director at SPI, he oversaw the release of over 400 titles and had a hand in the design or development of over twenty games. Simonsen was honored in 1977 with induction into the Charles Roberts Awards Hall of Fame.
