He last raced in the NASCAR Cup Series part-time, driving for various teams including Premium Motorsports and Tommy Baldwin Racing. A competitor since 2004, Sorenson has four wins in the Busch Series and made his first Cup Series start in 2005. As of 2021, he serves as a spotter for DGM Racing's No. 92 car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
