Rei Zulu, born Casimiro de Nascimento Martins on June 9, 1947, in São Luís, is a retired Brazilian wrestler. He gained fame in Brazil for traveling across the country and challenging people to freestyle wrestling matches. An expert in tarracá and various mixed martial arts including vale-tudo, Zulu is noted for his match against Rickson Gracie in 1980 to determine the superior fighting style. Despite being favored, Zulu lost that match and a subsequent rematch. He continued competing well into his 50s as a means of income.
