Reidar Lauritz Godø (1915-2007) was a Norwegian naval officer primarily serving in the Coast Artillery. He participated in the sinking of the German cruiser Blücher at Oscarsborg Fortress during the 1940 invasion of Norway. Godø joined the Norwegian Brigade in Scotland, became the head of the Coast Artillery’s training department in 1944, and held various high-ranking positions post-war, including Inspector General of the Armed Forces and Chief of the Military Mission in Brussels. He achieved the rank of Rear Admiral and received several military honors.
