Reidar Kjell Formo (1925–2018) was a Norwegian resistance fighter during World War II and a prominent engineer afterward. Born and raised in Oslo, he trained as a master mason and carpenter before earning a civil engineering degree from MIT. During the war, he was a member of the Pelle group, participating in sabotage actions against the German occupiers. After the war, he ran his own engineering firm for 25 years, contributing to the construction of various roadside inns across Norway. He was posthumously honored for his wartime bravery and contributions.
