Rein Mägar, born on December 29, 1943, in Laiusel, is an Estonian artist specializing in watercolor painting. He studied at various institutions including Tartu Art School and the Estonian State Art Institute. He worked in publishing from 1972 to 1996 and has been a member of the Artists' Union since 1977. Since the late 1990s, he has exhibited numerous times, focusing on landscapes, seascapes, and more recently, figures and portraits. Mägar is also a member of the Estonian Watercolorists' Association since 1998.
