Rein Ratas was an Estonian politician born on May 9, 1938, who was associated with the Estonian Centre Party. He served in the Riigikogu, the Estonian parliament, from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2018. Due to a lengthy illness, he was temporarily substituted by Igor Kravtšenko during part of his last term. Ratas left his parliamentary seat in September 2018. He was also the father of Jüri Ratas, who served as the Prime Minister of Estonia.
