Réjean Hébert is a Canadian politician and geriatrician, notable for serving as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec from the riding of Saint-François. Elected in 2012, he became the Minister of Health and Social Services under Pauline Marois. He was later confirmed as the federal Liberal Party candidate for Longueuil—Saint-Hubert in 2019 but did not win. Before coming out as gay at age 40, Hébert was married and had children, making history as one of three openly gay members of the National Assembly. He was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2023.
