Rems Nnanyelugo Umeasiegbu is a distinguished Nigerian professor, scholar, novelist, poet, and folklorist, born on October 1, 1943, in south-eastern Nigeria. He served as a Principal Lecturer at the Institute of Management Technology in Enugu from 1978 to 1982 and later as Head of the Department of Mass Communications at the same institution until 1986. Furthermore, he is a professor of oral literature at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and has contributed as a consultant to Koruna Books Publications.
