René Didier (born November 6, 1922, in Miedernach) was a Luxembourgian conscript during World War II. He served as Vice-President of the Federation of Conscripts and was a prominent figure in documenting the experiences of conscripts. His book, 'Zwangsrekrutéiert Mutiléiert Diskriminéiert,' published in 2006, recounts his harrowing experiences, including severe injuries sustained at the Russian front leading to the amputation of both legs. Didier addressed numerous administrative challenges faced by conscripts after the war.
