René Tercero Reyes Aguirre was a Mexican motocross racer born on October 3, 1983, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He became a five-time national champion and secured third place in a Latin American championship. Tragically, he was assassinated on August 18, 2008, in Ciudad Juárez along with two other riders, by an armed group. The motive for the crime remains unknown. After his death, he was posthumously awarded the national championship title that he was leading at the time.
