Renee Williams (June 4, 1977 – March 4, 2007) was an American woman known to be the largest woman in the world at the time of her death. She suffered from morbid obesity from a young age and became unable to walk after a car crash in 2003, leading to further weight gain. Williams was one of the heaviest individuals to undergo gastric bypass surgery, with a calculated BMI over 160. She appeared on American and British television, including Amazing Medical Stories and Half Ton Mum, before her death from complications of surgery.
