Reuben Adeleye Abati is a Nigerian journalist, politician, TV presenter, and newspaper columnist born on November 7, 1965. He was the deputy governor candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State during the 2019 gubernatorial election. From 2011 to 2015, he served as the Special Adviser on media to President Goodluck Jonathan. Abati was also the chairman of the editorial board of The Guardian from 2001 to 2011. He holds a degree in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar and is a Senior Research Associate at NOUN.
