Reynold H. Arnould was a French painter born in El Havre in 1919. He showed artistic talent early, studying at the École des beaux arts de Ruan at just 10 years old, and later won the Prix de Rome in 1939. After spending time in the United States, he returned to Paris in 1952 and became the director of the El Havre museum and later the Grand Palais in Paris. He played a significant role in the renovations of the Grand Palais, influenced by futurism and the works of Robert Delaunay.
