Rhona Martin MBE is a Scottish curler born on October 12, 1966, in Ayr. She is known for her remarkable achievement of winning a gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City as part of the British national team. Martin qualified for her first international championship in 1998 and achieved a silver medal at the European Championships. Although she faced challenges in her earlier career, her persistence led her to significant victories. She also received the Member of the Order of the British Empire honor and was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
