Richard A. Robison is an American paleontologist born on January 10, 1933, in Fillmore, Utah. He served as a geology professor at the University of Kansas. Robison obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Brigham Young University in 1957 and 1958, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. in geology from the University of Texas in 1962. His research primarily focused on the invertebrate fauna of the Cambrian period, especially trilobites and biostratigraphy. He edited the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology from 1978 to 1985.
