He grew up in Bonn-Bad Godesberg and began playing guitar at the age of 12. Starting his career as a folk singer in the 1960s, he later transitioned to blues music, founding bands and participating in numerous festivals both in Germany and abroad. His activities also include television roles, musical productions, and photography. Notably, he has been recognized with several awards for his music.
