Colonel Arthur Richard Cecil Butson was a British-born Canadian military officer and medical professional. He was awarded the Albert Medal and later the George Cross for gallantry in rescuing an Antarctic explorer. Butson served in the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey and continued his medical career in Canada. He was active both in civilian medicine and with the Canadian Militia after completing his medical studies during World War II.
