Richard de Kogel, born on December 22, 1976, in Rotterdam, is a Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player. He played for the club Florie/Vrevok in Nieuwegein and underwent shoulder surgery in 2005, later becoming an assistant coach there. He was the Dutch indoor champion in 2000 and a notable beach volleyball player, winning national championships in 1999 and 2002. De Kogel achieved a significant milestone in 2005 by defeating the reigning Olympic champions Ricardo/Emanuel at the World Championship.
