Richard R. Dinnis, born on December 11, 1942, is a former English football player and coach. He played semi-professional football as a centre-half, signing with Bishop Auckland in 1961 and later playing for Great Harwood. His coaching career began at Blackburn Rovers, where he also served as caretaker manager. Dinnis then joined Newcastle United, initially as assistant manager before briefly taking charge as manager. He later coached in the North American Soccer League and held various coaching roles, while also working as a physical education teacher and football commentator.
