Richard Jenkin, also known by his bardic name Map Dyvroeth (Son of Exile), was a Cornish poet and activist born in 1925 in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England. He was the son of Cornish emigrants, fought in World War II, and co-founded the magazine New Cornwall with his wife Ann Trevenen Jenkin in 1951, which sparked political and cultural advocacy for Cornwall. He served as a leader and honorary president of Mebyon Kernow from 1970 to 1983 and was the Grand Bard of Gorsedh Kernow from 1976 to 1982.
