Richard W. Brookins (February 25, 1922 – October 11, 2018) was an American soldier who, during World War II, was chosen to portray Saint Nicholas for children in Wiltz, Luxembourg. He became known as 'American Saint Nick' and began to embody all Americans who helped defend Luxembourg from German forces.
