Rick Evans was an American singer and guitarist born on January 20, 1943, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He became a member of the band Eccentrics in 1962, where he collaborated with Denny Zager. After the band disbanded in 1965, he reunited with Zager in 1968 to record 'In the Year 2525,' a song they co-wrote in 1964. This song became a major hit for Zager and Evans in 1969, marking a significant moment in their musical careers. Evans passed away in February 2018.
