Rick Parfitt was an English singer, songwriter, and musician born on October 12, 1948, in Surrey, England. He began his musical career in 1964 and is best known for being the guitarist for the band Status Quo. Parfitt earned the nickname 'the wild man of rock' and co-wrote many of the band's hits, including the 1979 single 'Rockin' All Over the World', which is one of his most successful songs.
