Ricky Dineen, born on April 2, 1962, is an Irish musician renowned as the guitarist for the post-punk band Five Go Down to the Sea?, formerly Nun Attax. He was instrumental in crafting the band's music and angular style, inspired by contemporaries like The Fire Engines. Active from 1978 to 1985, they released three EPs. Dineen's notable moment came in 1989 with Beethoven Fucking Beethoven, whose success was tragically curtailed by the drowning of vocalist Finbarr Donnelly. He continues to create music with Big Boy Foolish since the mid-2010s, influenced by modern bands.
