Riemer van der Velde, born on October 28, 1940, in Bakkeveen, Netherlands, is a Dutch entrepreneur and former football official who was also a professional player. He served as chairman of the Frisian club SC Heerenveen for over twenty years, during which he helped to professionalize the team, transforming it from a second-division club into a prominent member of the Dutch Eredivisie. After stepping down, he became an honorary chairman of the club.
