Rift Fournier (1936–2013) was an American writer, screenwriter, and television producer known for his extensive work on various TV series like Baretta and NYPD Blue. After contracting polio at 17, which left him wheelchair-bound, Fournier pursued a successful career in the entertainment industry. He began acting and screenwriting in his teens and later co-produced The Mike Douglas Show. In addition to his work in television, he served as an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University until his passing in 2013.
