Riho Unt is an Estonian animated film director, scenarist, and artist, born on May 15, 1956, in Kose-Risti, Estonia. He graduated from the Tallinn Art Institute in 1980, after which he worked at Tallinnfilm and Nukufilm. In 1989, he founded his own studio, Riho Unt Film. His notable work includes the film 'Kapsapea' (Cabbagehead) released in 1993, which critiques post-Soviet Estonian society and won multiple awards, notably the Grand Prix at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. In 2001, he was honored with the Order of the White Star, V class.
