Rika Matsumoto is a Japanese author and a former executive of the Aum Shinrikyo cult, although she held no real power within the organization. She was given the title of 'Shoshin' and is also known by the Holy Name 'Acharya.' Matsumoto is the third daughter of Shoko Asahara, the founder and former leader of Aum Shinrikyo, who was executed for his role in a deadly terrorist attack. She was born in April 1983.
