He gained prominence for playing Sami Maalik on the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2017 to 2021 and portrayed Maajid in the ITVX comedy Count Abdulla in 2023. Nair will join Grantchester in 2024 as vicar Alphy Kottaram. His early career included appearances in BBC shows, stage performances, and independent films. His work has earned him a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Inside Soap Awards.
