Rita Ferrer i Miquel, born on August 24, 1951, in Palafrugell, is a prominent Catalan choral director and music teacher. She founded the Palafrugell Music School in 1967 and has directed the Juny de Palafrugell choir. An accomplished musician, she studied under renowned teachers and holds degrees in music theory, harmony, and piano. She has played a significant role in promoting music education in Catalonia and was a spokesperson for the Catalan Association of Music Schools, established in 1992. In 2007, she received the Peix Fregit Award for her career contributions.
