Roald Kaldestad (born 1972) is a Norwegian children's author, songwriter, and guitarist. He has collaborated with several musicians including Odd Nordstoga and Sigrid Moldestad. He debuted as an author in 2000 with works such as Heavykatten and Discodansemusa. Kaldestad has produced several picture books and stories, including collaborations with illustrators. He obtained a cand. philol. degree in 2002 focused on art history and resides in Stord, Hordaland. He is the son of author Per Olav Kaldestad.
