Robert David Holden CBE is a British accountant born on April 6, 1956, in Manchester. He earned a degree in Economics from Lancaster University and initially worked at a shipyard before becoming the finance director of London and Continental Railways in 1996. He later served as chief executive and chairman of Eurostar. Holden oversaw the construction of High Speed One, and in 2009, he became chief executive of Crossrail. He announced his departure from Crossrail in January 2011 to pursue non-executive roles, having been recognized for his contributions to the rail industry.
