Robert Onslow van Gennep (1937-1994) was a Dutch publisher, bookseller, and founder of a modern antiquarian bookstore in Amsterdam. In 1962, he co-established the publishing house Polak & van Gennep, which became influential in leftist intellectual circles, publishing works by notable poets and quality paperbacks. The publisher later included left-political books and played a role in the Nieuw Links movement. After his death, the publishing house merged briefly with Wereldbibliotheek but has since regained independence.
