Robert Emmet Chambers Jr. is an American criminal known as the Preppy Killer. He gained notoriety for the 1986 strangulation death of 18-year-old Jennifer Levin in Central Park. Initially charged with second degree murder, Chambers changed his story multiple times during the investigation, claiming Levin's death was accidental. He described his actions as a result of a struggle during what was characterized as 'rough sex.' Ultimately, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter after a jury could not reach a verdict.
