Robert D. Gamble was an American businessman and Episcopal priest born on March 9, 1937, in Philadelphia and died on November 17, 2020, in Poznań. He significantly contributed to the Alcoholics Anonymous movement in Poland, co-founding Radio Obywatelskie and Media Rodzina. Gamble served as a hospital chaplain in Boston from 1980 to 1992, and from 2005 to 2014 as pastor of the Anglican Church in Poland. He published notable books, including Polish versions of Harry Potter and autobiographies of Barack Obama and Joe Biden before their presidencies.
