He graduated from Penn State in 1939 with a BS in Commercial Chemistry. The Eberly family significantly contributed to Penn State, leading to the renaming of the College of Science to Eberly College of Science in 1990. Their donations supported various educational initiatives, including scholarships and library construction at Penn State and West Virginia University.
